Ford to offer F-150 that runs on natural gas
Ford Motor says it will start offering its versions of its best-selling F-150 full-size pickup that can run on liquefied natural gas.
The gas can be either compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Ford says that the lower cost of natural gas -- about the equivalent of $2.11 per gallon of gasoline -- means that customers will be able to save money within 24 to 36 months of ownership, even though they will have to pay nearly $10,000 more for the option.

Kobelco Unveils SK210LC Excavator
Houston – Kobelco Construction Machinery USA released the SK210LC model, following the relaunch of Kobelco as an independent brand in North America earlier this year. This mid-size machine was engineered and built to deliver power, performance and durability on jobsites across the United States and Canada.
The 48,500 lb. SK210 is equipped with a fuel efficient, 157 hp HINO engine and meets Tier IV fuel emission requirements. To optimize power and fuel consumption, the SK210 features three engine operating modes: H for heavy loads, S for standard loads and ECO to reduce fuel consumption when moving lighter loads.
Volvo ECR58D, ECR88D Compact Excavators
Volvo has introduced two short-swing radius excavators, the ECR58D and ECR88D, with Tier 4-Final engines.
Both models feature automatic, two-speed travel for enhanced traction, and hydraulic travel pedals for easy and accurate track control, the company says. A narrow body design and centrally positioned boom keeps the superstructure compact so that the rear of the excavator swings within its track shoe, allowing operators to work closer to objects.
