JOHN DEERE Equipment Information:

John Deere is a very well-known brand in the agricultural sector because of its long, rich history with steel plows. John Deere created the first steel plow in 1837 and was considered cutting edge because farmers used wood plows that required routine cleanings that interrupted the workflow. The soil didn’t stick to the steel plow and allowed for more productivity.

John Deere eventually partnered up and began the Deere, Tate & Gould Company that manufactured the plows. Over time, John was able to buy Tate & Gould’s interests and continued business as John Deere in 1853. His son, Charles Deere, also joined the business at that time to help with managerial operations. In 1868, the company was reorganized and incorporated as Deere and Company. John Deere stayed on as President of the Company until 1886. A lot has changed since then! The company currently is 182 years old, is a near $40 billion corporation, and boasts over 60,000 employees.

Deere is well known for its agricultural consumer equipment, but they also are proficient in the corporate market. They have extensive lines for the military, governments of any size, and non-profits. There is an impressive line for golf course care that includes specialized mowers, aeration equipment, and bunker rakes. If you are in the field of forestry, there is an excellent line of; forwarders, bunchers, harvesters, loaders, and skidders to tackle the jobs you are lining up.

Deere and Company also offer financing and special offers throughout the year. They also sell used equipment and have a fairly long list of rental equipment.
