    Find Pick-Ups For Sale

Pick-ups have been available in the US since 1918. Ford is often credited with the birth of trucks, but Chevrolet offered a frame that could be built into a truck first and foremost. Since then, Ford and Chevrolet have competed for top name in the pickup truck market, with Dodge not too far behind. All pickups feature a closed cab and an open bed that is perfect for hauling.

While pick-ups have gained popularity and are often used for everyday use, pickups still are a vital tool in construction, farm life, hauling, and forestry. Pick-ups often have a suspension system that allows the vehicle to go off-road and handle different types of terrain. Therefore, they are still heavily marketed as a rough, tough, and tumble vehicle.

A lot has changed about the pick-up truck since its birth over 100 years ago. Initially, the cab featured one row of seats, rear-wheel drive, and a short bed. Now, there are a lot more options. You can easily find extended cabs that feature a second row of seats. Sometimes they are small and do not have their own set of doors. In newer extended cabs, they seats are larger and roomier. They also have their own set of doors. The design is perfect for mundane use as well as crew transport to job sites.

Beds have gained in size, as well. Not only are they deeper than the originals, they are also longer. More recently, they have become wider. The wider beds require a wider wheel base and the back wheels have increased from two to four wheels.

Pick-ups are perfect for hauling material and debris. Alongside of transporting the crew, they are great for hauling tools and equipment you need for the job.
