    Find Post Driver For Sale

    Post Driver

If you have ever installed a fence, you know it can be backbreaking work. That’s when a post driver can come in handy, especially when the job is big, such as on a ranch or farm. Post drivers are also used to install fencing along highways and roads.

A post driver is a tool that drives fence posts into the ground. The earliest version was developed by the Department of Transportation in 1933. Since that time, additional models have been designed to make it even easier and more efficient than using a mallet or hammer to pound a post into the land.

The designs of a post driver may vary depending on what type you use. In general, it’s a tool that consists of a hollow steel tube, which fits over a post. There are a couple of different types of post drivers including manual and hydraulic post drivers. Manual post drivers are available in models that are designed for one person or two persons use.

Post drivers are also available in different sizes. When choosing which driver will work best, it’s important to consider the size of the job. Consider the following options:

    Manual Post Drivers

A one-person manual post driver has a hollow tube that has two handles attached to the sides, and it is closed on one end. You hold onto the handles as you install the post. Although it still requires some manual labor, it makes it easier to install posts evenly.

    Hydraulic Post Drivers

Hydraulic post drivers operate using levers to pound the post into the ground. They have various controls that move the driver in different directions to make sure the post is placed into the ground levelly. They are often bulky, so it’s helpful to take that into consideration when deciding if that would be your best option.
