Recyclers refer to the specific vehicles that are for the pickup and delivery of recyclable materials. Just as with any other vehicle, you will find a range of styles and types that are designed for specific recycling jobs. When looking for the right recycling truck, you want to do some comparison shopping so that you stay within budget and have all your needs met. Read below to learn more about the different types.
Several recyclers feature compacting that is extremely useful when managing large loads of recycling materials. Some are enclosed within the truck and are loaded through the rear. Once the compactor is full, compacting begins. Recycling material is emptied through the rear once it arrives to the recycling center.
Some recycling trucks are top loaders and are designed for larger jobs that require transportation to another location for processing. These are often used for larger construction sites. All material is loaded into the top by hand or separate machinery and then transported, there are no compactors on this truck. At the recycling center, the compartment is unloaded much like a dump truck with the compartment on a hydraulic system.
These trucks are just like their refuse brothers. Front loaders are for picking up larger recycling containers at various work locations, apartment complexes, or office complexes where recycling containers are available. They lift and dump the contents over the front and into the top of the truck. When the truck is full, they deliver to a recycling center.
These trucks are most often seen in residential areas for collecting recycling. They have the arm on the side that pick up smaller recycling containers (the same size as refuse containers) to empty into the truck. These also can compact as they go to allow for plenty of pickup before delivering to a recycling center.
