    Container Trailers for Sale

Container trailers are used in industrial transport for moving large volumes of goods. There are different designs and types of these trailers in order to meet various height and weight specifications for specific needs. There are three main types of container trailer that are most commonly used you should know about when considering container trailers for sale. These are the flat-bed container trailer, container chassis trailer, and container tilt or tipping trailers.

Flatbed trailers are constructed of two connected beams and a platform on a frame. They can be made of aluminum or steel. Each type will have varying weight capacities and price points. Aluminum trailers are lightweight and easier to tow, providing better fuel efficiency. Steel trailers tend to be less expensive.

Container chassis trailers are designed to meet several needs. They can transport heavier containers in a way that makes loading and unloading more efficient. It’s more easily maneuverable and can traverse rugged terrain. It’s also a versatile option because it’s able to transport containers of varying sizes, including 20-foot, 40-foot, and 45-foot long containers.

Finally, there are container tilt or tipping trailers. These differ from the other types of container trailers for sale. A tilt trailer has two platforms that are attached by a pivot device. A hydraulic cylinder raises the upper platform in order to “tip” or “tilt” for loading a container onto a trailer bed. This type of container trailer is ideal for sites that don’t have cranes available for unloading.
