    Find Vacuum Trailer For Sale

    Vacuum Trailer

A vacuum trailer, a smaller version of a vacuum truck or vacuum tank, is a tank truck that features both a tank and a pump. The pump sucks up slurries, sludges, and liquids, from the construction site (usually underground) into the tank. These are used to transport liquids to another location with standard roads. The material is transported to a disposal site or a treatment center, such as a sewage treatment plant.

Vacuum trailers are most commonly used to transport septage from septic tanks and pit latrines. They can also transport sewage sludge, animal waste, and industrial liquids. Vacuum trucks may be equipped with a high-pressure pump if being used to clean out sewers from sand.

Generally, vacuum trailers are used to expose underground utilities at a construction site. The ground is jetted with water and the vacuum trailer sucks up the mud. This makes it easy to see the underground utility lines without damaging them, as digging could easily do.

In the case of an area where there is contaminated soil, a vacuum trailer can also be used to clean it up.

Vacuum trailers are available in a variety of sizes and capacities to address a number of needs and uses. Many are made of aluminum and have a 6,300-gallon capacity, but other options are available, such as a vacuum trailer with a 600-gallon capacity for smaller jobs.

Options for vacuum trailers include tilt with or without hydraulic assist, various sizes of suction lines, numerous pump and spray options, and more. Some vacuum trailers feature multiple compartments.
